Where We Work

Featured Partner Project
Improving Maternal and Child Health: Partnership and Action for Community Transformation (IMPACT)
To address the situation of unsafe childbirth practices in Ethiopia, CCFC recently implemented a project called Improving Maternal and Child Health: Partnership and Action for Community Transformation (IMPACT), which encouraged innovation through ‘task shifting’ for Traditional Birth Attendants. This project reached over 120,000 mothers and children, and more than 70 health facilities. As a result, over 9,700 babies have been safely delivered by skilled professionals with traditional midwives attending to support.

Our Work, in Action

Christian Children's Fund of Canada partners with organizations and communities that share our values and goals
Together, we help communities become self-sustaining
Dr. J. Calvitt Clarke and Dr. Verent Mills start work with Chinese war orphans.
Dr. Clarke creates China's Children Fund (CCF).
CCF expands its work from Asia into the Middle East after WWII. Renames itself "Christian Children's Fund".
CCF has global reach, and Canadian support leads to the creation of Christian Children's Fund of Canada.
Our History
in Ethiopia
We have been working with communities in Ethiopia since 1987. We work in partnership with local organizations to help improve life for children, their families and their communities in five key areas: health and nutrition; education; water, sanitation and hygiene; sustainable economic growth; and strengthening community organizations.
