IMPACT Project - Ethiopia

Christian Children’s Fund of Canada recently completed a project which addressed Maternal, Newborn and Child Health in Ethiopia. This video highlights the key results that were realized through the IMPACT project, and how this leads to improved health and safety for mothers and their children in Ethiopia.

Featured Partner Project

Improving Maternal and Child Health: Partnership and Action for Community Transformation (IMPACT)

To address the situation of unsafe childbirth practices in Ethiopia, CCFC recently implemented a project called Improving Maternal and Child Health: Partnership and Action for Community Transformation (IMPACT), which encouraged innovation through ‘task shifting’ for Traditional Birth Attendants. This project reached over 120,000 mothers and children, and more than 70 health facilities. As a result, over 9,700 babies have been safely delivered by skilled professionals with traditional midwives attending to support.
